Cordyline Torbay Dazzler
A lovely palm-like shrub or small tree, Cordyline australis Torbay Dazzler lends an exotic note to a garden in a mild, coastal area, and can also be grown in a container. Long, linear leaves striped green and white and up to 2’/60cm long, gradually die away at the base as the trunk slowly extends, giving the plant its palm-like appearance. Mature plants produce big panicles of white flowers in early summer; container-grown specimens rarely flower, and do not grow so tall. Cordyline Torbay Dazzler is doubtfully hardy, and needs winter protection if frost threatens.
